First games, not entirely victorious :)

Last night got 2 games in, four of us who managed to find the time on a friday night.

We played with both Dmen (myself on LD), a Center and a RW.

These were the first games we played so obviously our guys are not that good yet, statwise. We donīt buy boosts generally, unless the requirements to open them are ridiculous as they were in NHL10.

First game we lost 3-1, scored the opener on a nice onetimer but then the opponent started playing We had no chance to defend against these guys, they had something like 80-100 games played so obviously their stats were quite a bit higher than ours.

It seems like the cards, and stats, play a bigger role in this years EASHL, I canīt remember having such a hard time when we started playing EASHL in NHL10, and in NHL10 we started our team maybe three months after the game was released.

The other thing I noticed is that the AI goalie seems to perform more according to their stats than before, and the stats werenīt that good obviously.

It might be the time for me to step up and start playing as a goalie, at least when we have enough people on.

The second game was a tight battle between the bluelines, defense on both sides was a lot better than offense, we ended up losing 0-1. A loss for sure, but we played a lot better than on the first game.

One thing that bothered me a bit was the match making. On both games we were matched up against Elite teams, so the difference in player stats and maybe skill were to be expected, but shouldnīt we have been matched against other Amateur teams? I think so

Hopefully things will even out as time goes by, player cards and boosts opened will even the field a bit, and teams will start settling in the leagues where they belong.

And maybe one day weīll climb up to the Pro league, thanks to my magnificent goaltending of course
