First of all I have mad respect for Trinidad, but what about Morales & Barerra they had some battles & genuine dislike for each other.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Fighters of Your Lifetime

1) Mike Tyson(pre Don King w/Kevin Rooney. He just demolished and destroyed dudes. never saw a dude with so much speed, power and tenacity before)

2) Erik Morales(The first time I saw him was on an undercard of a bigger fight and immediately fell in love with his style)

3) Sugar Shane Mosley(I really wasn't feeling him at first. But the more i watched the bigger fan I became)

4) Roy Jones Jr.(The first time I saw Roy he hit and knocked this guy down and it looked like the dude was having a seizure. i was like Uh Ohhhhhhhh lol)

5) Ike Quartey(He had one of the best jabs in the history of boxing IMO. I personally think he beat De La Hoya and got cheated out of a couple of other fights. but that jab(my fav punch in boxing)

I was born in 1975 and yes Ali was still fighting. But, I'm basing my list on when I was old enough to know what was going on and enjoy the sport.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Fighters of Your Lifetime

This is tough, because I enjoy watching so many fighters, but here I go:

Mike Tyson (first boxing match I ever watched Tyson vs Spinks)
Riddick Bowe (when in shape dude was one helluva fighter)
Arturo Gatti (never a dull moment)
Prince Naseem (brought boxing back to the mainstream for a minute)
Pretty Boy, not "Money" Floyd Mayweather (130/135 edition of Floyd)

honorable mentions
Bernard "Xcutioner" Hopkins (Trinidad, Echols, and Tarver fights made me a fan for life)
Shane Mosley (never ducks and a great sportsman)
Fernando Vargas (blood and guts, but loved food)
Kostya Zsyu (sp.) (he was sharp and had a crazy workout regiment)

I think I'm a bit older than some of you fellas.
Not older than me-Ali's announced comeback in 1970 against Jerry Quarry got me interested in boxing before I ever saw Muhammad fight. I've been a huge boxing fan ever since.

  1. Muhammad Ali
  2. Kelly Pavlik
  3. Sugar Ray Leonard
  4. Tommy Hearns
  5. Michael Spinks/Bob Foster (TIE!!)
I'd have to throw in Danny "Little Red" Lopez as a 5B.
