Cliche question.

Does Curtis Stevens have a realistic puncher's chance?

The only reason I think he has a slight chance is his punch and he may have gotten in GGG's head with the "casket stuff". On the other hand Steven's probably scared to death.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Curtis Stevens - November 2nd

Golovkin wore him down, but Stevens gave a good account of himself. He's got a sneaky, quick, lethal left hook, but Golovkin was able to avoid it for the most part. The underdog was also able to remain on his feet (barely) when his corner called it.

I don't think too many middleweights are chomping at the bit to face Curtis Stevens.

Besides the knockdown and a few vicious body shots, most of Golovkin's best shots were through or around the gloves of Stevens, who was constantly gravitating to the ropes with his gloves up.

Yeah, I didn't think that Stevens looked too bad. They stopped the fight at the right time though because he was just taking punishment at that point. Who's next for GGG?

I forget the name of the guys, but that heavyweight fight was pretty nice. The Cuban/Irish guy had some skills.

I'm hearing rumblings of Sergio Martinez, but Cotto might get a shot at him first, so GGG might have to wait.

I think Sergio at his best could beat GGG, (due to being a quicker counter puncher) but that time may have passed. Maybe he's got a big one left in him though...can't count him out fully.

Could just be bs rumors too. Saw it on some facebook boxing page.

I think you're selling him way short. 49% of his power punches landed which, like Lamps said will get you the W more often than not. 49% of power punches by a guy with the power of GGG will get you nearly killed.

I was impressed by GGG's boxing skills. He found success with the body shots later in the fight and really hurt Stevens there.

I'm hoping he knocks Sergio's head off and then fights Cotto.

When GGG knocked him down, Steven's face looked like he had just seen his life flash before his eyes lol. His mouth was wide open and I couldn't help but laugh. He came back strong for a little bit though and showed some heart. GGG is just too tough.
