Nice draft. Looking forward to see your rosters.
Yes,thanks. I've been using the draft value chart to know what to ask for. My depth chart should be a while later, maybe next weekend.

Increase Brian Urlacher's Play Knowledge to 32%
Increase Olin kreutz's PK to 39%
Increase Jordan Gross's PK to 39%
Add 10 new Plays

Eagles trade RE Darren Howard to Steelers for 2009 4th and 2009 6th.

This seems nice so far. It will be interesting seeing how that supposed top 10 defense plays and what the offense can contribute.

Thanks, but I'm not expecting a Top 10 defense this year. A winning season this year will be a big step forward, as my current coaching staff is fairly terrible.

As for the offense, depends on who the starting QB is going to be. Quinn knows the playbook better and is more developed, but Johnson has the better physical skills. A good balance might be to have Quinn play against the tough teams and let Johnson start the rest.

I'll assume the Michigan Surprise is based loosely on the Michigan Spread, but about about the defensive one?

It has a lot of different formations-3-3-5, 4-2-6, 4-3, 3-4;also the 46 and the Patriots 5 DB set.The base playbook is 3-3-5.

The offense is indeed base playbook Michigan Spread, but it also has a number of different formations as well. I think some plays are included from one of the running formations in the College attack(either Wishbone or Flexbone), although it is in a nondecript Run Plays category. Singleback, Strong, and I-Form also help round out the base playbook.Needless to say, it's a very mobile playbook and will require similar players to run it.

Glad to see you back at posting a career! Good draft. You weren't lying when you said you went overboard on the 2008 draft... What picks do you have left for 09?

Go 8 years on the Sweetney path and you too will be a believer on trading down in the 2008 Draft. There's a fairly large chasm between the talent between 2008 and 2009 Sweetney-and it doesn't get better later on in the path. Fortunately, this time I got Zazzali.

Of my own picks, I retained the Bears 2009 1st and 2nd. However, I received by trading down the Broncos 2nd, Colts 3rd, Falcons 4th, Cardinals 4th, Eagles 5th, Falcons 6th, and Vikings 7th. The game doesn't register a trade with the Cardinals, so another team must have had their original pick.
