Statement from ESPN Videogames regarding "ESPN NFL 2005" price

Take note that it doesn't say anyone posted the wrong price, just that they were wrong in posting a price.

If this is true it would be 20 bucks at the store? If so I think I might have to contact a relative and they can buy it for me!

Then the only game I have to buy myself this year would be MADDEN.

Also, if the price was truely wrong, a representative would have directly stated the error.

So far today, the following news has taken place:

1) title change
2) price change
3) release date change

I wonder what else VC has up their sleeves? Regardless, I haven't been this excited about a game since Zelda 64.

I think it was just a deal that Gamestop started. Then when EBGames heard the news, they lowered their price as well. Originally, EBgames didn't have it at $20. But then after an hour they dropped it too. Yep, its a deal from the both of them.

Does anyone know how EB Games' "In-Store" pick-up works?

For instance, I selected In Store pick-up and went through the process or ordering. The total came out to $21.24 with tax, but they had me enter my credit card information.

Why did they have me enter the credit card info? From what I understand, I don't pay until I go in to pick the game up. Is that correct?

Furthermore, when I do go in and pick the game up, do I have to pay with the credit card I ordered with, or can I just take it with me and pay cash?

The reason I ask is because it isn't my card, and I want to be able to know how the situation is handled so I don't end up incurring overdraft fees, etc.
