Re: What's needed to Transfer Rosters to PS2?

My flash drive is FAT32 and I've downloaded numerous roster files and it always comes up as no files on the card I'm obviously gonna keep trying different things but at this point I'm not too optimistic. I really love this game but as a Lions fan, i'm not too fond of my roster from that year. I'd much rather have Stafford and Megatron than Harrington and Rogers lol. Thanks for the help anyways.

You're just putting the .max files on your stick and not the .zips right? Try a different USB because I know the max media works. I've used it in the past and haven't had any problems with it.

I tried a different flash drive and it worked! Awesome! Thanks again for the help. Any possibility of a new roster update for ps2 in the future?

Awesome, glad you got it working.

For 2K5? I'm not sure. I think a few people are going to put some files out eventually. I'll have an update after the draft for 2K4 if you have that game too.

I don't have 2k4 but I might pick it up. Isn't 2k5 the better game though?

After doing some research on it, it looks like I will be buying 2k4. I never owned it before and I always just assumed 2k5 was the best one. I've read a lot of people saying the gameplay in 2k4 is better and there are more current rosters.

I've posted this a few times I think, but here's my thoughts:

Running game is really fun, great tackling animations
CPU QB play is better
CPU QB's actually move around in the pocket and take off if they feel pressure
I've been seeing harder hits from safeties/LB's
RB screens are actually effective. Rarely worked in 2K5

On the negative side;
OL sometimes falls asleep (I've seen this is 2K5 as well)
No foot planting so RB's can make quick cuts
WR/DB interactions are a little lacking
Playbooks feel a little limited (teams are more run heavy)

2K4 plays pretty similar to 2K5 but there's just something about it. It's hard to explain, it just feels good. You can get 2K4 for less than 5 bucks so I'd suggest just giving it a try.
If you're a franchise guy, 2K5 has an advantage that you can use the editor to update players contracts as well as the schedule. 2K4's franchise works fine, but you are lacking those features since we haven't cracked how to change those in the 2K4 editor just yet. Not really a big deal in my eyes since on the field matters more to me.

Does 2k4 freeze up less than 2k5?
