Re: California Dreamin'

This is an awesome dynasty thread.

It's amazing how great the Madden graphics are compared to NCAA (the only football game I've played in a while).

Are you playing the playoff games or watching cpu vs cpu?

Keep it up brother!

Music City Massacre

There has been talk that DeMarco Murray, who turns 31 next month, will be in another uniform if he’s playing football again in the 2019 season. The Tennessee Titans may want to re-think the notion of including Murray in the next phase of their youth movement. All he did against the Kansas City Chiefs was rush for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns in one of the most memorable playoff performance of the decade. True, his 44 yard TD came in garbage time a play after Marcus Mariota had taken a knee, but 233 yards and a pair of scores would have been almost equally impressive. For Andy Reid, Alex Smith and the Chiefs, it was a another crushing defeat, and something comes to mind about the definition of insanity. That may have something to do with why Smith is heading for free agency.

Bucs Ring Eagles' Bell

Doug Martin got his groove back, Mike Evans came out of hiding, and Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 4 touchdown passes as the Tampa bay Buccaneers reached the NFC championship game for the fourth time in franchise history with a surprising 34-17 upset of the Philadelphia Eagles. Wild card hero Charles Sims III was also a contributor, rushing for 72 yards on 16 carries. The game’s outcome may impact the Miami Dolphins’ head coach hiring process, as each team’s defensive coordinator is a candidate for that vacany. Philly’s Jim Schwartz will now be getting the first interview, but Tampa’s Mike Smith may have gained the upper hand.

Re: California Dreamin'

Texans Make It An All-South 'Ship

Neutered by the absence of Ben Roethlisberger and Le’veon Bell, the Pittsburgh Steelers, with an acceptable performance by backup A.J. McCarron, still gave themselves a fighting chance to advance to the AFC title game, in which they would have hosted the Tennessee Titans. To the old school, it would have been another Steelers-Oilers game. But Houston’s new team, the Texans, had other thoughts. After McCarron’s 26 yard touchdown pass to Markus Wheaton tied the game at 20 with 11:12 to go, the Texans scored the game’s final 5 points to move on to the franchise’s first AFC championship game. Nick Novak’s 46 yard field goal put the Texans back in front with just under 7 minutes to play, then with 2:05 remaining Whitney Mercilus sacked McCarron for a safety. That bad news for Houston is that rookie quarterback Mason Rudolph suffered a broken collarbone late in the third quarter and in relief Sam Bradford only completed 50% of his passes. Odds are that the Titans are going to repeat.

Viking Funeral

So much for home field advantage. Divisional Sunday has seen both teams that had it go one and done. Although six Minnesota Vikings accounted for a total of 9 sacks (in particular, Everson Griffen worked Dion Dawkins like a rented mule) and the Seattle Seahawks went over 57 minutes without scoring an offensive touchdown, a constantly harried Russell Wilson was able to find enough wiggle room to hit Tyler Lockett for a 25 yard game-winning touchdown with 2:35 to go. To say that Minnesota’s Mike White failed his first big test would be unfair. He did throw a first quarter pick-six to Bobby Wagner, but he shook it off and later tossed what was at the moment a go-ahead TD pass to Stefon Diggs. He was faultless in the second INT in his stat line. It came with only 45 seconds to go, and Jeremy Lane swatted the ball out of the grasp of Diggs and Kevin Pierre-Louis came up with the pick.

18's graphics with the Frostbite engine should be even better. I love my NCAA but the gfx are almost painful to look at now.

I'm picking a team to play as but that doesn't guarantee them a win- I was on the receiving end of Murray's 277 yards.

Thanks for the support.

Re: California Dreamin'

Damn so you play out every playoff game? That's dedication man. I'm too excited to move on to the next season to spend time playing extra games lol.

I am also looking forward to Madden 18's graphics on Frostbite. I'm still playing NCAA 14 and documenting my own dynasty here and sometimes I take pics and think "wow, that's a good looking shot" after seeing the lighting, blurs and other details. I can't imagine what's going to happen when I start doing that with Madden 18 lol. Going back to NCAA will be very difficult.
