I was always interested in what these settings really change/effect results.

I play my 4-2-3-1 with Attacking, Fluid......I wonder what would happen if I changed to very fluid, or let my players run out of formation more often.

I can't argue with the results I've gotten, but it is tempting to switch things up for fun.

The only thing I really change is from Attacking to Control/Counter with a lead or defensive in the waning minutes. Otherwise its a straightforward attacking tactic, which doesn't yield many goal, but oddly enough is a fortress defensively.....

Got killed in the WC. Went 0-0-3. Unacceptable, even with our tough group. Hope the FA doesn't take it too hard.

Just drew Aston Villa nil-nil at The Lane. Tough match, Villa's speed (Abongalahor & Young mostly) were had to defend & they had their chances on goal.

Lennon came on in the 86' to replace Bentley & had a rebound sitter from 10 yards out that he missed in the 93rd minute that would have sealed the 3 points. The draw pushed Spurs back to 2nd in the table.

Here's my ultra successful defensive tactic.

And my squad stats:

Nice work I'll be posting screenies when I get a chance. I'm about to play the World Club Cup Final. I am still unbeaten and still haven't dropped any points. My team is unbelievable right now lol

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

I just beat Man Citeh in the League Cup 1-nil at The Lane. I never should have won this match, I was dominated for the first 55', then switched up to a counter attacking strategy & was able to even up the possession a bit more.

Then the miracle happened. Bale fed Henrique at the top of the box, he took one touch onto his left foot & fired home a screamer from 20 yards, good enough for the 1-nil victory.

Otamendi conceded a terrible corner in stoppage time, but City couldn't capitalize, missing a wide open chance at goal.

The incredible run continues. Unfortunately next up is Manu, just 3 days after the City match, and I have to visit Old Trafford.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Made a solid comeback recently...down to the last match against Bristol Rovers and am tied with Colchester for the last promotion playoff spot, but they hold the tiebreaker. Hopefully Leyton Orient comes through for me.

EDIT: Did the usual "get a 2-0 lead and allow a late equalizer" deal, plus Colchester won, so I'm stuck in League 1 for another year.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Here are some screenies of my Napoli save. The team's looking quite good at the moment, even though I've scraped away some results that I should have taken home comfortably.
