Tournament settings + 16 MPH winds do not make for a very fun round at TPC San Antonio. Playing with the Tournament settings is challenging enough without the wind but for me it just makes it no fun to play when all you see is every shot spraying all over the place because of the inconsistent wind this game has.

I haven't made a secret of my feelings about the wind either.

Short version: I prefer to play the course, not the wind. I don't mind 10 mph or less, but hate playing when you have to aim your tee shot over the lake, trees, or adjacent fairway to try to get FIR.

I'm with you Dan. I don't mind a bit of wind, but gale force is annoying and zaps the fun out of the round for me.

DISCLAIMER: I'm am a meteorologist, so take this stuff with a grain of salt

One (of many) thing that bothers me about the wind is how meteorologically incorrect it is. Given that typically holes will lay side by side (one going N to S, next hole S to N, etc).....how in the heck can I have a 15 mph tail wind on BOTH HOLES. The wind never follows the layout of the course.

There are many other issues I have with the wind as well, like how IRL wind speeds are not uniform from tee to apex of shot to landing spot.

i think 16mph wins provide a good challenge - it's not like 20+ - i think THAT'S where it gets crazy...

i understand the frustration, because it does really limit your control on approach shots - but i do like the variety it introduces... trying to hit a 30 or 40-foot lag putt is something you don't get to do when it's "easier" - so i think it becomes a valuable skill when the wind is 15-20 mph!

Playing the daily at spyglass... Put TWO in the water at 15, then sunk my third tee shot for a double bogey.... Wtf.

This course, with the wind and elevation changes, is eating me alive.
