I heard you guys used more players this season than most teams had in a long time. As for stupid trades, I sensing a whiff of Martin St. Louis going to Columbus along with Pronger...
I dunno I'm just taking wild guesses in the dark.

I'm just saying stuff so I can say "I told you so later."
Since I'm here, I'm also gonna guess Kari Lehtonen is going to Detroit, Antropov is going to Ottawa, Bouwmeester is going to Toronto, Guerin is gonna sign with Pittsburgh, Koivu is going to Minnesota, Cammalleri is resigning with Calgary, and Aucoin is gonna get laughed at if he want 4 million again.
Most everybody is gonna resign, like usual...

Capitals interested in Three Dynamos

The Washington Capitals are interested in three different rising stars in Ilya Kovalchuk, Marian Hossa and Marian Gaborik. Caps General Manager Jason Skyland was quoted as to say "The Capitals need more goal scorers not named Alex Ovechkin or you can kiss Cup dreams goodbye". The three Europeans are all amazing goal scorers as all of them has hit the 40 goal plateau at least once in their careers. Yet there is an unfortunate down side to all of them.

Ilya Kovalchuk is Captain of the Atlanta Thrashers, and as the Thrashers and the Capitals are both in the Southeast division, the Caps would have to give up a lot for the Russian dynamo to the Division rivals.

Marian Gaborik, an important member of the Minnesota Wild, is an unrestricted free agent soon, and is waiting for a huge salary at years end, and from the cash-strapped Caps...hmmm?

Marian Hossa, a extremely talented player and leader has a pretty hefty contract for only one year. Can the Capitals afford to deal for these talented players?
