Born and Raised in Detroit: The Matt Walker Story

This will be another Goalie BAP, I am already a few games into the season so no draft day stuff.
Difficulty switches between all star and super star and seven minute periods with Qb's sliders.

BTW I am not the best writer, lol.

Re: Born and Raised in Detroit: The Matt Walker Story

I stood there between the pipes with thirty seconds left, Broduer had left the net and only ten seconds later I watched as Mikael Samuelsson went on a breakaway to score on the empty net. The lead increased to 5 - 3 and I watched as the clock counted down to zero. I had done it, my first game in the NHL was a success.

I kept thinking this was all a dream as Lidstrom and the rest of the team congratulated me on the win. It wasn't the best game but two goals late from Datsyuk saved my ***. Marty who had 38 saves on 42 shots came over as well and welcomed me to the NHL.

I still couldn't believe that I was only with the Griffins for six games before getting here. I still don't know why I was called up or what happened to Ozzy but I shouldn't ask questions and just go with it.

Stats
27 Shots - 24 Saves - 1 PPGA

Griffins record before being called up
4W(1 SO) - 2L - 1.0x GAA - .95 SV%
Both losses were 1 - 0

Re: Born and Raised in Detroit: The Matt Walker Story

*Note - I must have simulated a game on accident because it says I have three wins under my stats even though I've only played two.

Also Osgood isn't injured and wasn't traded/sent down so I don't know why I got called up.*

I sat at my locker, holding in my excitement from my first shutout over the Tampa Bay Lightning. As I began taking off my pads I saw a gang of reporters walk into the locker room, probably to talk to Dats or Z but I saw them turn away from them and start coming towards me.

"Tom Houston with ESPN - Great game tonight, what are your thoughts on how you guys played?"

"Well I really owe everything to all the guys in front of me. They controlled the puck and spent pretty much the whole game peppering Smith. We out shot them by what 30 or so shots. I just hope to continue my good streak and keep helping Detroit win games."

The press seemed satisfied with that and went to talk to Babcock and the rest of the team.

Stats
M. Walker - 21 saves on 21 shots

M. Smith - 49 saves on 53 shots
