The Colorado Avalanche have been bought out by Peter Carey. Carey had this to say .

" The Avalanche have all the potential to be a great team again and I think that I can really help them get there.It will take some work, but I can do it."

Carey is expected to build the team up while keeping the core players smiler. He has reported that he should be getting draft picks throughout the year in order to help build the future of this team.

Don't worry, Bolts is still alive. This is just a small fun dynasty to do on the side, especially because I'm so far ahead in my Bolts one.

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired Keith Ballard along with Jay Macdonald. The Avs lost Defencemen Scott Hannan and minor league star, Ray Macias.
Carey says that Ballard is a younger, and cheaper version of Hannan, plus he has 7 years left on his contract.


" It will help us" says Carey "He has tons of potential and is already capable of playing on line one".

On a side not, David Jones has been sent down and T.j Hensick has been called up.

I once tried an Avalanche dynasty, but I quit it because I was able to trade Sakic for Eric Staal, and Ryan Smyth for Rick Nash, both straight up.
