Re: In a good place, Madden Praise.

*I mean my only major gameplay complaints were a little too many caught tipped passes and a few too many big plays.

That says a lot IMHO. It says the game play is really freaking good overall.

Pass rush (assuming it doesn’t get nerfed) is the best it’s ever been. Coverage (assuming it doesn’t get adjusted) is the best it’s ever been. The run game is the best it’s ever been.

Yeah they did a fine job with polishing gameplay.

*Beta, obviously

Re: In a good place, Madden Praise.

Also head tracking was a thing of beauty in the beta. I have a video where Brown for the Cardinals is running a Go Route. As he is running he turns to look at the DB that's coming over to cover, Derwin James. As the ball is approaching both turn their heads to track the ball. Both jump up, James misplays the ball, Brown catches it and scores. It looked so good I took videos from different angles just to watch. What's happening on the field for the majority of the time just looks good to me.

ETA: I'm going to assume that this was the FieldSENSE effect.

Very underrated aspect here, visually. I've been playing a Play The Moments franchise in 22 and the head tracking is so bad compared to the beta. Nothing ruins immersion like a player staring straight ahead towards the sideline when they're running horizontal during a play.

In the beta, I loved running outside and seeing my RB look upfield constantly and not at the sideline. I loved WRs looking back or over at DBs in the open field.

It's another thing that adds up and makes the play on the field feel more alive.

Can you corroborate the details on ID the Mike? What's different from last year??

It's not that it is different, but something that I feel works as close to intended for user control as possible. Something I wouldn't say needs changing before other areas of the game.

Re: In a good place, Madden Praise.

Great idea for a thread

I didn't play the beta but I think the additions to franchise will have a big impact on the longevity of franchise this year. The additions sounded small but the thing I love is that they address CPU roster management while adding different strategies for human players
