Wish they would just sell the game as two separate ones.

Have one game be just online, thats it. Other one have exhibition, franchise, superstar etc etc. They can then update the code for that specific side to cater to both.

Personally, if I want arcade, constant big plays, I'll play online. If I want to mimic real football and complete 12-13 play drives, I'll do franchise.

Re: Oh no.....

I feel like they don't make separate games from fears such as:

Fear that whichever single game outsells the others is so much better, that the other games don't get made anymore. Money talks in this business.

Fear that the game codes as they are can only function married as one, and so the multiple games are all glitched like crazy.

Fear that the costs of production and efforts of promoting and marketing multiple games to ensure selling them could be a nightmare (because they already fail badly at just getting one game out there fully working).

This kind of stuff. I always try to chess match things. I really only ever debate and get irked about things with this game when issues still make no sense to me at all. I try to be mature, haha.

You know I don't know why they don't do that. They could make more money off of doing it that way because we all know some (or even many) would buy BOTH games.

Make each game $39 instead of $69 and sell as as a bundle for $79 or something.

Someone get a higher up EA exec in marketing and tell them this!~

That’s true of most everyone of course, we all have our issues, but some folks tolerance for the outliers, and how one reacts to them , is perhaps being too heavily influenced by demanding a more immediate match in the game to the sport in their head.

So sample size is important but specificity of what is in your head is as well. Only through getting that information can one really judge the game fairly.
Well said, and I don't disagree.. but Madden is different than any other game for alot of us.

I (we) grew up with this game. Watched it morph into something that we never really imagined. Remember the first time you ported an NCAA draft class into your Franchise? Actually playing 20 years of franchise? 20 years with Tom Brady being a scrub backup nobody ever heard of outside of Ann Arbor...(I digress..)

GTA, amazing. Red Dead, surreal. But they're nerf basketball in comparison to Madden if it had continued its insane upward trajectory from the early PS2-era (coincidence that was before online play??..)

I wouldn't buy both. Couldn't be less interested in online or MUT.

But I'd spend $100 or more on a robust franchise series in the mold of HC09.

This is the last thing we should hope for.

The game that is aimed at offline franchise only would be forgotten and dropped within a couple years.

It doesn't have to be a yearly release in this case. The online game would satisfy the licensing obligation.

Develop the game. Fully, like the other non-sports games that hit the market. The foundation is there for the gameplay. They already have a great template in HC09 to dive into the coach/gm/back of house.

The NFL and the Suits at EA *grossly* underestimate their audience.

Franchise has already been forgotten, what difference would it make?

Was just a pipe dream in hopes of being able to not have one side or the other dictate how the game should go.
