Show blitz ?

Just wondering if anyone knows if showing blitz enhances blitzing. Been playing the game for many years and really never understood if it has a purpose.

I’ve always treated it as a way to make your opponent think you’re blitzing when you really aren’t

I think it depends on what play the offense is running. Say the offense is running and you show blitz to bring up your players, the linebackers get hit with the block sooner, creates an earlier gap, the safeties and corners don't have the time to close in and now the runner might be free running down the middle.

But I think it all depends on the situation. I use it alot on blitzes to simulate the pressure, which I think has an effect on certain QBs.
