Slow Sim Franchise: HB Slip Screen bug

Hi all. I am beyond frustrated with the HB Slip Screen play. It seems that every single playbook has it and every time my QB runs the play, he just drops back, waits, waits, and then takes a sack.

Has anyone ever figured out the fix for this? I've tried every single attribute and trait change on my QB but nothing works. The bizarre thing is that the play works fine in practice mode.

Is there a setting I'm missing? I can't simply use a custom playbook with that play removed because our league does not allow custom playbooks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!

I've never just let my QB walk back on a screen play. Pretty much right after the snap I'll start rolling out whatever direction the screen is going, otherwise you're just asking to have 3-4 defensive linemen right on top of your QB before the HB can break away

I'm talking about slow sim. In Slow Sim, you don't control the QB or any other players.
