Quick question about stats???

Do quarterback sacks count against the team passing stat? I wasn't aware of that until I noticed the on-field scoreboard that pops up at halftime and at the end of the game. I played a game today where I threw for 317 yards. I took 4 sacks for a total loss of 32 yards. The stats board at the end of the game showed my team passing yardage at 285. I was a bit confused by this and figured it was just a glitch, but after doing simple math in my head, I realized that those 32 yards were subtracted from my total team passing yardage. But then again, when I checked the individual passing stat, it said I threw for 317. So it's counted against team passing but not individual passing???
