The animations of the tackle battle were make-believe physics. I can't recall how many times a defender who didn't have leverage was able to completely reverse the momentum of a ball carrier... again WITHOUT leverage or momentum.

Tackle battle is fine, but if the defense wins let their momentum vector ADD to the ball carrier's momentum vector rather than multiply it by negative one. I.e., the running back falls forward or sideways and down, instead of magically getting thrown backwards despite the particular physics situation. No more defacing Newton's grave please.

I absolutely, unequivocally agree 10000000% percent with this statement. I absolutely hate this and think it's one of the worst features, in my opinion, that's ever been added to Madden since that stupid flashlight QB mode back in the day.
