Madden videos....the good and bad

I'll start this thread with kind of a central location to what your seeing with the plethora of videos.

First , the lighting looks great but I'm seeing some dullness at times in certain teams helmets like the patriots, cowboys and raiders. Don't know if it's the time of day but it's been toned down from years past.

Second , hair has been done great this year! It flows so much better and is especially noticeable with the dreads.

Third, some players faces are generic like Edelman. His equipment is off too. He wears a rev speed helmet and has a generic riddle helmet. I noticed this for Dez Bryant as well ( helmet only)

Fourth, still seeing sliding on tackling and running animations.

Fifth, intro players have goose necks compared to in game player models

Lighting effects are nice but overall its too dark. I like the game a little brighter but that's just me.

Re: Madden videos....the good and bad

So far for me

The Good
Blocking looks much better
The lighting is nice and colors look to pop
The Blount run with the pile in the middle of the line

The Bad
Zones look really loose
Statue QBs
Animations look unchanged outside a couple of new ones I have seen

Cant tell a ton from game videos IMO, the real test is when I am playing it myself.

The good:
- A lot of guys got to fly down to check out Madden thank to EA! sigh*
- New passing feature looks fun
- Lighting look better
- I could tell the difference in play style, I like sim

The Bad:
- I have never had a problem with the game play, and with how much went into frost bite, it really doesn't look like that much was done.
- Didn't get a good look at franchise to see if they actually added anything new to it

This is on par with my observations too.

Re: Madden videos....the good and bad

2:38 mark - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82uE...ature=youtu.be

Sim mode ( ratings matter, wont see slower guys catching faster ones):

DB ( 90 spd) Wright catches ball , runs 30 yards ( should be at top speed by then) . When he is at the 24 yardline( in full stride) Tannehill is at the 26.5 yardline, a good 8 yards away and to the left. At this point both guys are running at almost the same angle to sideline.( Tanehill with 83 spd) At 37 yard line Wright is just in front of Tannehill , but about 5 yards of separation still.Wright in front at 45, Tanne still a yard behind and about 4 yards to left. Wright is at 48 , tanne dives from 46 , while wright in full stride going striaght forward, Tanne gets the warp tackle at 47 yard line on other side of field....

The good:

Lighting
Penalties finally back after so many years of Madden missing penalities

The Bad:

Sidelines
The emotion and feel seems dead
Weird knee buckle walk still in game
I'm going to be paying for Madden 17.5

Re: Madden videos....the good and bad

Silver helmets looked awful at times in across all of the videos. Lighting transition as game progresses looks no existent. It is hard to fully judge gameplay without playing it and knowing all settings, but it looks awfully similar to last year. Other than slightly better visuals, not seeing much difference.

And the youtube guys that talk over the videos are awful. TokeNasty has to be the worst. Why are you always screaming?
