Any Thoughts For Getting A More Competitive Offensive Game Against the CPU?

As a casual pick up and play Madden player for 20+ years I have been struggling lately trying to get a competitive game against the CPU. I play on Arcade style gameplay so I prefer high scoring, offensive games. The problem I have is that the CPU isn't very good on offense and doesn't score that often and being that I play on an Xbox Series X the momentum meter by far tilts in my favor which only makes the CPU's offensive struggles worse.

I have tried different efforts like moving up my skill level from Rookie to Pro, however that makes my offensive efforts worse. Another tactic to boost the CPUs offensive was playing with the sliders maxed out (CPU's offensive skills) while downgrading my defensive sliders and also only playing Nickel Formation/Man Coverage all to no avail, didn't make a big difference.

With the exception of having to go into settings and changing from Rookie to Pro while on defense each time, does anyone have any suggestions to boost the CPU's offensive efforts that I may be overlooking? Thanks in advance!

Is there a particular reason you are sticking with Rookie or Pro? The developers tune the game for All Pro difficulty first and work outwards from there.

CPU quarterbacks on All Madden tend to be ridiculous, so if nothing else you have that option.

I will let more knowledgeable folks speak to things like slider settings, custom playbook assignments, or roster editing.
