Trade Logic Broken?

Really? Coefield and a 3rd for the 2nd overall pick?... This added on top of another video with a wide receiver and tight end being taken 1st and 2nd overall. These things really worry me about the game.

Yeah, that's awful. Inexcusably so.

A WR going #1 isn't totally out of whack necessarily, but a TE going #2 is awful, too.

It's cool with me, as far as I can tell it seems rare enough occurrence that it wont break the immersion factor. And if it does you can always make a save before the draft and just keep reloading it until you get a 1st round you can deal with. =)

Coefield and a 3rd round pick next year for the 2nd overall pick? That kills any immersion factor IMO. He is 85 and 29 years old, I don't see any logical reason that would be an acceptable trade.
Don't get me wrong I can't wait for this game and I know I am going to love it, but I just want at least some logic behind trading.

Better than the opposite way it was.

"Oh we need a HB rated 80+ for this."
"Here's a 83 rated HB."
"No."

Here's a counter offer:

HB + your star 90+ rated player.

It's really not any better because that is very unrealistic. An aging Defensive tackle that is only mid 80's and a 3rd pick next year and they get a 2 overall pick? That doesn't seem any better IMO.

Could be a problem. That's not the worst trade in the world, could be more of an anomaly. Hard to say without seeing more trades.

EDIT: I just realized that was the 2nd OVERALL pick. That is horrible! If, on average, future picks are valued a round down then they traded Barry Coefield and a 4th round pick for the 2nd overall pick. Ugh!!!

I really hope so because I am so stoked for this game it's crazy. This does worry me, but trust me either way I will be enjoying this game. I just think this was worthy of being brought up so hopefully the trade logic can be tuned at least a tad bit.
