I have the retail version of the game. Im trying to find out how to enable strafing.
????????????

How are we supposed to catch deep passes. The CPU has a 100000000% advantage because of how they're programed compared to the abilities the user controller is given.

Hold down R2? That's what it is in NCAA.

Its not in the all pro and all madden difficulty levels i believe.

User controlled strafe catching or "Rocket catching" in parlance of the cheeser, has been removed from Madden '09 on the higher difficulty levels. It will only happen when the ratings of the player allow the CPU to automatically trigger the animation in certain situation.
