That is good news. I'm a refugee from NCAA but with that franchise being sued out of existence I'm going to go with next gen Madden.

In NCAA you could do either auto pass or coach mode. In auto pass the quarterback would pass on his own but would never run. In coach mode the quarterback would do both. I'm guessing the quarterback behaves the same in Madden as in NCAA coach mode?

Yes, I'd love a true coach mode.

I'd also love a true player mode. If you're a rookie TE, why in the hell should you be calling the plays? I don't know what happens on the field, but I still assume that most of the QBs get plays called in to them.

The QB in Madden would behave the same as the QB in NCAA Auto Pass mode.

Unfortunately, the Madden coach mode does not match the NCAA coach mode. Especially with the QB behaviour. In NCAA coach mode I've seen a scrambling QB take off for a 15 yard run and slide at the end. In Madden, never. If you choose a QB run play he'll run, but try to act like Marshawn Lynch half the time trying to bust through LBs like a fool.

That's unfortunate. Maybe with many of the best NCAA developers now working on Madden this will get fixed.
