Forever? Didn't he go to last years community week or whatever it's called? What did he do to get the big boot?

Re: MLB 2K11 Video: Preview with Designer, Sean Bailey

A couple things:

-I'm not a big fan of those player models. The way the players look and move seems very 'arcadey' to me.

-I really don't like the fact that the size of the flyball landing spot changes based on each player's fielding ability. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If a player is a subpar defender, a lot of times it means that they 1) have a poor reaction time and therefore poor range and/or 2) just flat out lack the ability to consistently catch the baseball on non-routine plays (I say non-routine, because I feel like every major-leaguer not named Manny or Alfonso S. can successfully complete just about every routine defensive chance.) I think a better way to reflect this in the game would be to have the appearance of the 'ball shadow' delayed for lesser fielders to simulate their worse reaction time, and then let the player's defensive ratings take over once they get to the spot.

They are actually doing both. Better fielders have the ball shadow show up sooner and smaller. I personally like this.
