Re: "A Perfect game, no hitter, he has done it"

Awesome! I've only come PAINFULLY close to one. It was during my RttS career this past season prior to the file getting corrupted and killing my desire to play. I was in AAA when it happened. I forget which team it was, but I was on a roll. My previous four games were all games where I went deep into the game only giving up one or two runs, but getting the victory. On this day, I was in complete control with everything. Into the 9th inning with no walks, 9 strikeouts, and nothing really hit hard that I can remember. The only problem was that my team had no offense so I only had a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the 9th. Got the first two guys out on weak grounders to the shortstop. The next guy comes up and I get to a 2-2 count on him. I now decide to break out my split-finger fastball and throw it low to get him to whiff. I pitch, he swings and misses but my catcher doesn't bother to catch the ball. It goes back to the backstop and the batter reaches first. F*&%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now I'm pitching from the stretch and my perfecto is gone but the no-hitter is still available. There was nobody warming up in the bullpen so at least my manager didn't decide to yank me. The lead-off hitter comes up and gets a 2-1 count. My next pitch is a 2-seam fastball and it doesn't break like I thought it would. I'm praying that the batter just takes the pitch, but he doesn't. A swing, a loud crack, and I lose the game 2-1 giving up a walk-off homerun with 2 outs and a no-hitter going in the 9th. I felt ill.

Has anyone ever had a no-hitter thrown against them? I have been held to 1 & 2 hits several times

I am so silly.

There actually is a Silver No-Hitter Trophy you can get. But I did not get it, due to the fact I already received it July of last year, when the RTTS team I was on, pitcher threw a "no hitter".

Was kind of a cheap way to get it, since I was the first baseman.

The perfect game one though is for RTTS. Which is a separate trophy.

Congrats on the no-no.

I really want to get one, but it just never seems to happen for me. I've been so close so many times too. Guess I know what feels like to be a Mets fan.. zing!
