Running FB and 4seam fastball

Anyone know the movement of a running FB? And how does it differ from a 4 seam fastball? As a right-handed pitcher, the 2 seamer usually breaks left to right, what about the running FB and 4 seam FB, how do they break? I have lots of trouble locating a FB except when I want to hit someone.

I believe the RFB breaks to the outside or to the left if you are a right handed pitcher and the 4SFB does not have any movement.

Isn't there something on the game that tells you the break of pitches. I'm sure it's on the menu somewhere. Something like the 'front end' or something like that. I'm pretty sure that has pictures of all the pitches movements.

RFB fastball moves left to right out of a right handers hand like the 2FB, but the the 2FB has some downward movement as well, RFB does more of a horizontal shift.

The 4 seam is just a straight FB in The Show.

So by putting the ball marker say at left-middle the pitch should end up near where you placed the marker if timing is correct, not all the time, but at least half or more.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but most of the time my 4-seamer is moving like crazy. I can spot the ball upper-right and it can end up lower middle or maybe lower left--even releasing it past yellow.

Re: Running FB and 4seam fastball

A 4-seam fastball has the illusion that its rising, due to the spin of the baseball.

A Running fastball breaks like a screwball, in that it breaks the same direction as the pitcher's pitching hand. Example...a left handers RFB breaks left while a right handed pitcher's RFB breaks right.

Re: Running FB and 4seam fastball

I really don't know about that. I do a lot of replays, I have about 100 saved on my PS3, and the 4seam fastball certainly seems to me like it has movement on it this year.

Especially when guys whose fastballs have high break ratings, like CC Sabathia, are pitching.

It's not as blatant as the RFB and 2sfb, but it's there.
