Just wondering what the general consensus is on baserunning controls. Personally, I cannot get the controls down for the life of me and have left it on auto (however, this is my first year on the game).

What bugs me is that there's no practice mode for baserunning, so there's only a limited number of chances during full games that you can try to learn the control scheme.

The AI works great, though, so I'm not complaining.

I'm using manual, though at times it gets annoying when you wanted to send(or not send) only 1 guy,but all your guys end up going(or not going) even though you thought you pressed the right buttons to advance only one guy

Right now I am on auto, but the CPU tends to not ever steal for me, which was why I set it to auto in the first place.

Manual is the only way to go for me. I dont like the lack of control you get with auto.

Manual, but the MVP controls are still kind of burned into my mind so only sending certain runners hasn't worked like I want just yet, but I've gotten lucky.

I just cannot stop trying to use the MVP baserunning controls and it messes me up so I have it set on Auto. One of the only things I still miss about MVP was the baserunning controls which were much better than the Show.

I made a thread about being able to control the lead runner and the CPU handle the others. After the controlled lead runner crosses home plate you take over the next runner. Sony really needs to simplify base running cause other games do it so much better.

iPod has a baseball game that handles base running to perfection.

No matter how many times I play I always have one of those moments where I forget the camera is going to change on a hit during RttS and I run backwards and screw up the advance.
