Legends in franchise mode...

Can someone tell me what's up with the legends that are rated in the 40's and 50's, please. Are they just made up? If so, why?

I started a season with legends. Tried to put everyone accurate as possible some current players are on their current teams but I have babe Ruth mantle Gehrig posada Rivera etc

I have both 20 and 21 and in 20 I have an excellent modern day roster mixed with legends from the 90’s to present

I love playing with Legends and a mixture of new cats, first time doing it in franchise. The record books get a bit crazy lol, but it's awesome way to play franchise.
