It was a slow start for both teams, but it was the Heat who struggled more against the Bulls D. Lebron was still warming up, adn Wade connected on a few shots but their offense was sluggish. Anderson came off the bench to provide a litte spark in their offense, but MJ also got hot late, sarting to find his and the Heat fell behind by as much as 10. A late basket by Bosh helped narrow it to 8 after the first period. 23-15.

In the second quarter, Jordan cotinued his hot streak. He was connecting all over the court, hitting the Heat with 15 pts in the 2nd quarter. The Bulls would lead by as much as 12. However, as soon as Jordan sat down, the Bulls offense stagnated, while the Heat started connecting from long range. The Heat would get to within 2 pts after a 3 from Lebron, prompting JOrdan to return for the Bulls last play. THey got him down on the post and assisted to Kerr who was open in the corner, to keep the Bulls ahead by 4, 48-44.

In the 3rd quarter, the Miami Heat found the spark they needed, not from the big-3, but from their steady gritty PG, Mario Chalmers. Starting on the the defensive side of the ball, Chalmers was able to put together an offensive spurt, scoring 12 in the period, to put the Heat up by as much as 3 pts. It was tied at 61 with 4 mins to go when Michael Jordan went crazy, scoring 10 staight pts, sparking a 19-7 run (12 from MJ) to end the 3rd to give the Bulls a 12-pt lead heading into the 4th.

The Bulls kept the pace in the 4th, and kept the lead in double digits. The closest the Heat got to was within 6 pts, but Michael Jordan was making play after play to halt the Heat rallies. He was either making big shots or passing it off to teammates who would drain their open shots.

Bulls take Game 1, 108-97.

Jordan led the field with 46 pts 4 rebs 15 assists, 4 stls 1 blk. Pippen was not making shots in this game, shot just 2/10 for 5 pts, but Kukoc, Kerr and Rodman made up for his offensive slack, scoring double figures, led by Kukoc's 16. Rodman had a double-double with 10 pts 13 rebs.

Wade led the Heat with 26 pts with Chalmers second with 17. Lebron had a lackluster outing, shot 6/18 for 16 pts in 34 mins. CHICAGO -- After convincing win in Game 1, Bulls look to build on their momentum in Game 2.

Jordan was feeling it to start the 1stQ. He was hitting from all over the court, regardless of who was guarding him. He was 8/11 from the field with 4 FTs for 20 pts, outscoring the entire Miami Heat team by himself, truly setting the tone for the rest of the game. It was 29-18, Chicago after one.

He cooled off in the 2nd quarter, while Ray Allen provided the spark that Miamni desprately needed off the bench. He scored 8 early pts, including 2 3-pters, to cut the lead to as much as 3. Mike Miller also was playing stellar defense on Pippen while contributing on offense too, including a 3-pointer that cut the Bulls lead to 2 with 3:50 remaining, and an assist to CHalmers to tie the game with 3 mins to go. THe Bulls regrouped, as Jordan scored another 8, to help stem the Heat wave, and keep the Bulls ahead 45-41 going into the half.


At the start of the 3rd, the Bulls defense helped them go on an 11-4 run to go up by 11 early on. After a few baskets from Lebron, who is having a better game than Game 1, cut the lead to 7, the Bulls defense would lead to a huge 11-0 run that would give the Bulls an 18 pts lead. The game was starting to slip away for the Heat. Miller had a late basket as the quarter ended, but it was still a 16-pt lead going into the 4th.

The Bulls were able to keep the Heat at bay in the 4th quarter. SMall runs by the Heat, would cut the lead to 9 at multiple points but the Bulls would be able to respond to keep them from getting closer. The last response from the Bulls after the Heat cut it to 9 with 2 mins to go came from Michael Jordan who would posterize Chris Bosh in what would be the dunk of the night. Jordan would then put an exclamation point with a 3-pointer with 39 secs left to bring the lead to 14.

Bulls win convincingly 97-83.

Lebron had a better Game 2, with 27 pts, while Wade had 20. Chalmers had 11 pts 9 assts.

Jordna had another 40pts double-double: 47 pts 10 assists. Pippen had 18 pts 6 rebs 4 assts. Rodman had a game-high 17 rebs.

MIAMI -- The Miami Big 3 try to respond to Jordan's Bulls in their home turf to make this a series. Can they come together for a W against the GOAT?

THe first quarter ended with both teams tied at 25, but 2 things were apparent. The Heat Trio came to play, and MJ was having an off night. Bosh, Wade, and James combined for 23 of their team's 25, while Jordan shot a measly 5/12 from the field for 10 pts. Kerr and Kukoc provided some extra lift for the Bulls off the bench.


In the second quarter, Ray Allen bolstered the Heat, scoring 11 pts, including 3/3 from 3pt range to help the Heat lead by as much as 14. Defict at the half for the Bulls is 9.


THe 3rd quarter saw the Heat again going up double digits with good defense and transition basketball. Miami's big 3 came to play, led by Chris Bosh who would outmaneuver his matchups at the 5 with his quickness en route to 10 pts, helping the Heat keep a 15 pt lead going into the 4th period.


The Bulls fell behind by as much as 16, 92-76 with over 9 mins to until the Bulls started to build some momentum. This started with Jordan who would score 9 early points and ignite a 17-6 run to get the Bulls to within 5 with still 4 mins remaining.


Suddenly, after dominating for most of the ballgame, the Heat are in a dogfight.


Lebron would cool the Bulls rally with 2 big baskets, an assist and a steal and help the Heat keep a 9 pt lead with 2 mins to go. The Bulls kept coming though, and after consecutive 3's from Kukoc and Kerr, the Bulls were within 3 with 1:30 to go. Wade would make some huge baskets in the clutch, but matched by MJ on the other end. And with another 3-pointer from Kukoc, the Bulls were within 2 pts with 34 secs to go.


Lebron would get fouled and would convert 2 FT's to make it a 4 pt game with 26 secs to go. But Jordan would answer with a 3-pt play off CHris Bosh and make it a 1-pt game with 17.9 secs left. CHalmers gets fouled and makes both his FT's to make it 114-11 with 16.8 secs.


One more play left for the Bulls. They try to get it to Steve Kerr but the Heat got him covered and couldnt get his shot off. Ball is spun around back to Jordan would would shoot a long 3-pointer as the buzzer sounds.... SPINS IN & OUT!!


Heat hang on and win Game 3. Series is now 2-1.


The Heat's Big 3 responded in a big way, all scoring above 20, combining 69 pts. Lebron led the way with 24 pts 4 rebs 6 assts 3 stls. Bosh had an excellent game as well with 24 pts 9rebs. Wade had 21. Allen and Chalmbers were also in double figures, 17 & 16 respecitvely.


Jordan had 20 pts in the 4th quarter alone but came up short to steal this game from Miami. He finished with 44 pts 15 assts. Pippen had 16. MIAMI -- Miami tries to even the series at 2-2 in Game 4 and both teams superstars showed up to play. WHo comes out on top?

THe Heat and Bulls superstars started strong in the 1st quarter. It was a close contest. Wade, Lebron and Bosh combied for 17 in the first period while Pippen and JOrdan combined for 21, with Pippen having a strong start with 13. However, as some of the bench players started to come in, the Bulls bench began to outplay the Heat, and the Bulls were up double digits. A late basket by Bosh cut the deficit to 9 entering the 2ndQ.

After making his first 3 shots in the 2nd! and giving the Bulls a 7 pt lead, Jordan suddenly went cold and their offense sunk. THe Heat would take advantage, led by James and Bosh, as they would go on a 17-5 run and grab the lead. Heat defense was clicking and leading to transition baskets as they started to run away. A late 3 from CHalmers made it an 11-pt Heat lead going into the half.

After a horendous shooting in the first half, Jordan was still intent on doing all he can to win. He made up for it in the 3rd quarter, as he was mnore aggressive going to the hole, shooting 5/7, including 1 3 pointer, to score 16 and lead the Bulls all the way back. Chicago reclaimed the lead with 2Ft's from Kukoc with 3 mins to go in the period. As Jordan sat down to prepare for the 4th, Pippen and Kukoc was able to withstand a Lebron rally towards the end that kept the Bulls up by 1, 79-78 going into the 4th quarter.

Bulls continued some momentum early on in the 4th, with timely baskets from their bench again helping them to a 6 pt lead early. However, Dwyane Wade found his touch in time, again playing HUGE, scoring 9 pts in a 18-7 run that had the Heat reclaim the lead with 2:34 to go. It was neck and neck until the very last minute, setting up the stage gfor a showdown between Lebron and JOrdan.

Lebron and JOrdan deliver for their teams but only one emerged victorious.

Lebron finished with 37 pts 3 rebs 7 assts. Bosh and Wade both had double-doubles. Bosh with 26 pts 10 rebs while Wade had 22 pts 10 assts.

Jordan had 45 pts 10 assts 4 rebs while Pippen finished with 28.

Sorta off topic but the 96 Bulls jerseys with the 91 playoffs black stripe is just wrong and odd for the game to include.
