O ok i got you. I was trying to picture a player dribbiling spinning then taking a jump shot

The hop step, my guess, would be a pumpfake hop step layup. Either you can perform the layup, obviously, or you could do the pumpfake, and then it's just like a hop step. I look forward to the up and under's and step through's not performed in the post.
