Re: Sales figures?

They had to have figured the sales would be low.. Im not worried about a cancellation of 16 because they didn't market this. Its unfortunate, its a good game.

Lol. That's pretty sad, honestly. There should be commercials all over ESPN and TNT during games. It makes no sense, it's almost like they don't want this series to succeed. I trashed 14 hard, but now that they've made strides in the right direction, I think people should know that a decent game from them exists.

Are you implying that not having editing capability this year wouldn't have changed the opinions of people to buy the game already?

Now I agree that it might not have impacted casual fans or those who don't read various gaming sites like OS.

But I'm pretty sure there are quite a bit of gamers who follow both Live and 2K who probably passed on Live simply because it doesn't have editing options.

That might not be enough to effect sales but hey it's still quite a large group of people who didn't purchase the game because of missing features.

Re: Sales figures?

I think it's poor advertising(I still haven't seen any commercials), and the game still isn't strong enough to compete with the other game. EA didn't do any favors charging $65 bucks for this either, especially when the other game has more customization, modes, and a solid foundation.

I couldn't even find any preorder discounts like I can sometimes with Madden, and I didn't even see it on the shelf when I went to gamestop either. Right now, the few people that have this game are the hardcore live fans and the people tired of the other game.

Re: Sales figures?

Not surprising. It's a bad basketball game that's why. Also they didn't put any money into marketing the game. Holiday sales should help a bit. But in 2014, this game still isn't ready for prime time. And definitely isn't worth $60 in a lot of people's opinion. Mine included. The live team has a lot of work to do
