I have a pretty lengthy post in the "EA drops the ball?" thread about beating the CPU..this game is challenging, you need to play like real bball! Check it out it's on page 3 if your stuck against the cpu..

PS-setting screens when CPU goes man helps under certain situations..You need to read and react to the d on what to do when the screens set, also!

U=Is it true that the roleplaying mode is useless? When in roleplaying mode it has been posted that CPU controlled players won't do anything on their own. Is this true???

The player lock mode mode rumor is PARTIALLY true.

Computer players will do certain things, and I have seen them take non-Human controlled shots (normally if a guy is open). Also, if you call a play, they will work the ball around, but the shooting issue is still there.

While player lock is not an issue for me, if it is the main way you play a b-ball game then both March Madnesss and Live are not going to be good pick-ups for you. I would still suggest you rent them, just to try them out. But yes, player lock has flaws.
