Re: Circle the Wagons...the 2008 Buffalo Bills Off-Season Thread

These ticket prices may be high for Buffalo but they're still middle of the pack for NFL tickets. People in Toronto are actually gobbling these up as there's been 180,000 requests for tickets since they announced the prices.

Needless to say Toronto will always see NFL football if the support remains this strong. The question is, will it be a franchise in T.O. or the same revenue sharing deal with the Bills over the long term.

Bruce is getting put up on the Wall of Fame this fall. Reports say the Sep 21 game against Oakland. I'll definitely be going to this one.

why

just why

Quote:
James Hardy, the former IU wide receiver just drafted by the Buffalo Bills, reportedly pulled a gun on his father during an argument, according to a police report filed Sunday with the football star’s name edited out.
No charges have been filed. The younger Hardy has a permit to carry a gun, and the police say they have no plans to pursue the matter further.
Officers were called to a home in the 2900 block of Weisser Park Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday by a woman who said a man was fighting with his father in her backyard.
The father was identified as James W. Hardy II, according to the report. The son, listed as a suspect with his name redacted from the report, was identified in police dispatch logs as 21-year-old James Hardy. The names of possible suspects are routinely blacked out of police reports provided to the public or media.
Police Chief Rusty York confirmed the younger Hardy was involved, but said because his father showed no signs of injury, there was no reason to pursue the matter further.
According to the police report, the female witness told police she yelled at the younger Hardy to stop fighting when he pulled out a black gun. The woman said Hardy then left.

Geez, if he continues that he'll be cut no matter how talented he is. The Bills organization has little patience for trouble makers like that.

I don't know what to make of this

Apparently a car registered to Marshawn Lynch was involved in a hit and run accident during the overnight hours in Buffalo. Sources are saying it's unclear whether Lynch was driving the car or even in the car in the first place. Luckily the victim is ok.

I hope this turns out to be much ado about nothing like the Hardy story was to some degree.

It's terrible what happened to Lynch so far, but hopefully he'll get off with something easy.

And where do I sign up for this club??

I have to throw my support to Steve Johnson of UK!
