My favorite basketball game from back then was In the Zone 2 on the ps1, favorite football game was a tie between Joe Montana sports talk football and Deion Sanders primetime football on the sega genesis, favorite baseball game was world series baseball 95 on the sega genesis. All classics!!

Yeah, NBA Shootout 2004 - I had the PS2 version. It was pretty decent, but I don't think you could edit players, and many players were dunking like crazy. From memory, Gary Payton was going up for dunks all the time and other player who rarely dunked (such as Kidd) were dunking non-stop in that game. But I liked the graphics. I thought Shootout 2003 (PS2) was a bit more realistic.

Regarding football games, I was never a true football gamer, and I didn't play many football games. But I do remember playing Mike Ditka Ultimate Football on my PC back in the 90's.

Omg. Mike Ditks Football was just bad. I remember that for Sega . It was also unplayable lol. The only thing I liked was that the football looked cool

Tag you're it funny story when you would load up NFL GameDay 99 and get a game going that you could take out the disk and put in MLB 99 and it would just randomly play nonsensical combinations of dialogue from the MLB game or vice versa.
