That looks much better. The tackling and OL/DL interaction (which he spoke on) are my biggest issues with how the game looks.

Coach mode has me with one foot in, though.

Sure is looking improved. And yes, it has a long way to go. The action appears a bit too "fast"...animation wise. At least some of them anyway, like the QB throwing to back off to side. Also, hopefully the tackle animation "runs into a brick wall" get tweaked or eliminated.

It is coming along nicely. I have my eye on this one for sure...

I cannot express HOW HAPPY I am that i know someone is working on a game which includes college.. Ever since NCAA FOOTBALL has went away I really couln't care less about football games.. Then I saw this.. AMAZING. THANK YOU to the devs and everyone supporting this project. It will succeed no doubt. Many folks are upset at the cucrrent Madden series, me included. And yes.. I believe NFL 2k5 that I had on the dreamcast was the most incredible game to date..

Does anyone know if the Axis football 2016 mods work? I'm specifically asking about Sackmasters College mod. I pre-ordered 17, just waiting for my Beta code or I'd try it myself.

No reason to think it wouldn't.

Short video I made with the current beta, playing coach mode, with my preferred camera angle.

Re: Axis Football 17

I'm definitely hoping the final product winds up turning out well. I hope they know what they're getting into with their franchise mode, as well. Creating a functional player regen system, draft classes, maintaining consistency between current and incoming players (hence the reason for a regen system), encoding the correlations between skills to prevent illogical or "silly" players from being created too often (usually done by creating pre-set "player types" and giving a randomized value for how closely the player type will be followed, interacting independently with current ability, potential ability, and other associated values), etc... Is all ludicrously complicated, and it tends to take teams years to develop anything even remotely balanced after several in-game years. Even Sports Interactive took a few months to properly balance these systems with Eastside Hockey Manager.

Still, I'm quite excited to try it out. I hope it's reasonably balanced, even if I'm sure it'll take another few years to have a sustainable level of depth.
