I'll be honest though, every time I played baseball I pretty much had to stay in the box. Not in like a "low-maintenance Hunter Pence" kind of way, it was just my way of mentally getting a picture of the pitcher's arm angle, ball rotation, etc. I was the kind of hitter where, once I saw every pitcher's pitches once, I was locked. Starting pitchers had trouble with me by my second or third at-bat. First at-bats they might have my number though, unless I drew a deep count.

I'd take one foot out, but both feet was a rarity unless I was getting a sign. Never swung in between pitches, that's just too tiring.
