There are very few wideouts I would pend a 2nd rounder on...and Cribbs is nowhere near as good as them.

Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini has no interest in trading Josh Cribbs
By Mary Kay Cabot
October 16, 2009, 10:37AM

Browns coach Eric Mangini says he has no interest in trading Josh Cribbs.BEREA, Ohio -- Browns coach Eric Mangini said Friday he has "no interest in moving Josh Cribbs."

A source told The Plain Dealer that Cribbs would welcome a trade if the Browns are unwilling to re-do his contract, which runs through 2012. At least five teams have expressed interest in trading for Cribbs, including Miami, Oakland, Jacksonville and San Francisco, according to nfl.com.

Mangini, when asked if Cribbs has asked for a trade, said "no.''

As far as it being a distraction, Mangini said, "it's really it's not something we're focusing on. It's Pittsburgh week and that's something we're focusing on. That's what Josh is focusing on.''

Regarding Cribbs' contract, he said, "it's an ongoing process'' and declined to provide the organization's timetable for getting an extension done.

Mangini said he takes the calls and "you always listen to any offer, but it's all hypothetical, but we have no interest in moving Josh Cribbs.''

He said he really likes Cribbs and that "Josh will be a Cleveland Brown.''

Cribbs is much more than just a wideout. Cribbs is a slot WR, the single best ST'er in the NFL and a wildcat threat.

He's worth a 2nd rounder.

It definitely feels that way in this situation, I didn't mind dumping Braylon at all, I hated dealing Winslow but I could understand why they did it.

All Cribbs wants is a little more $, just extend him, he deserves it, one of the few talented players on our roster.

Re: Dolphins interested in Josh Cribbs

The Browns aren't trading Cribbs just like they're not trading Quinn. The media just wants to stir up trade talk before the deadline, that's all.
