"Emphasis on offensive pass interference." They forgot to add they actually need to commit the penalty in order to call it...

Re: Week 1: San Francisco 49ers (0-0) vs Dallas Cowboys (0-0)

While I've never been a Cowboy fan, I started to actually dislike them the more I lived in Dallas (yes, it's the hometown fans that drove me to it). Anyways, I'm enjoying this. Not because I love SF, but because I honestly feel that Dallas could have owned this division over the past 6-7 years if Jerry Jones would stop pretending to be GM and hire a HOF/SB calliber coach who's not going to be a yes-man. The more Dallas fails (like today) the More blame Jones gets to take for hitching himself to the Romo/Garrett wagon. At this rate they might finish at the bottom of the division and that's saying something with a NYG team that's lost it's identity and a Redskins team who's QB has lost his identity.

In a sick twisted roundabout way, I feel bad for the Cowboy fans and the more they loose the bigger the elephant in the room becomes. Jones. Jones. Jones.

Jones don't care. The Cowboys are his team and as long as he's alive I think he'll be involved in the GM job.

I really dont know what was with Romo today. He looked off in a way I've never seen before. It worries me.

Not to turn this into a Manziel thread but a friend and I have been talking about this Cowboys game today, and about how Jones is the core of the Cowboy's problems (yes it starts at the top, especially when you think you can GM) and I've come to the conclusion that all Manziel would do is put Dallas in the national press all the time. He would get fans excited, put butts in seats, but in reality thats it. Maziel lacks the maturity to be the QB of a large market high profile team like Dallas. You think he's immature now flying around the country on his celebrity slefie tour? Imagine if he came to Dallas and Jones hitched his wagon to him? Manziel, former Texas AM QB goes to Texas' biggest stage in football. Oh noooo. Johnny Football is exactly where he needs to be. On a team where the owner is letting the COACH handle him and bring him up and along the way he needs to be, especialyl given his immature nature. Manziel in Dallas with a REAL head coach? Could you imagine the friction between coach and Jones? Jones wants him to play, Coach says no... coach fired a year later.

Dez could go to a team poised to win NOW, not with a shell of a QB on the downslope of his career. Dez would hit his prime and be stuck with a "rebuilding" team, trying to find thier next QB.

Dez honestly has all the power. He's the only thing you could truly call the "FUTURE" of the Cowboys. Not Romo, old and hurt and is a choke artist. Not Whitten, getting older, super talented, but thats about it.
