So both players got 13 yr $98 million deals. Wow. Huge pickups by the Wild.

I guess Detroit moves on to Carle now.

Well I'm ok with this, as long as they didn't pick Detroit I can live with the fact Chicago didn't get either of them.

Good for the Wild, that is a great fan base they deserve something good like this.

Yup, 15 M tied up in two players. I hope it works out for the Wild.

They have a lot of young guys coming up so it should work out well for them, few expensive guys with a lot of ELC's should work out well, once it comes time to extend pick the best fits extend them and trade whoever doesn't fit into the cap for more assets or ride it out for a Cup run.

Don't forget Heatley has a 7.5 M cap hit as well.

According to Cap Geek the Wild have the 2nd highest payroll behind Boston.

The Wild went from Cup odds of 200/1 before these deals to 22/1 now.
