The original deal got rejected because it was essentially cap and floor circumvention by the Pens and Knights respectively. The new deal is... better I suppose? The idea of having a third team in the deal just to retain cap is a new one for me. Brilliant idea though.

Leafs making a surprising move. Trading a 2nd and 2 minor leaguers (Valiev,Rychel) to Habs for Plekenec(Habs retain 50% of salary) and Kyle Baun (grandson of Leafs great and 4x cup winner Bobby Baun).

Leafs don't visit Montreal again this year unfortunately. That would've been a sight to see. Plekenec is near the top in games played in Habs franchise history. Now suddenly wearing the blue and white.
