I also feel Wenger has more pressure than ever to spend money this January. How often do you see the board come out and say how much money they have to spend during a window? They have to be able to get at least two impact players that doesn't include Henry. Get that defensive midfielder and someone that can actually finish and you will see this season turn around.

On another note, what do you guys think about the Pep rumors?

Those upcoming games to not excite me considering we just lost to a League 2 side. Does turning the season around mean back in the hunt for the top four? If so, still nothing to get massively excited about.

As for Pep, its definitely a better fit for him, as he wouldn't have an owner or a board breathing down his neck.

I honestly don't think he goes to Chelsea. He's far too smart for that, and there is no way he'd get the power and freedom that he'll demand.

City is a different story.

Arsenal...I just don't see it. First, Arsene would have to step down. Second, if we finish out of the top four, would he want to take over that squad?

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

I think he would actually. Arsenal has such a strong base to work from. I can only see the club getting better and better each season. IMO I think Wenger has done a hell of a job keeping this club afloat after our stars have walked away.

First question, Can Wenger get this club a title (not this year of course) in the near future? If he can't then what is our objective other then staying in the top 4 ? Would Wenger walk away on his own terms, or would the board have to get dramatic?

We can moan about how the season is going, but we can always look at the goal difference and see that we are still in the top 4. I can probably safely say that it can't get any worse, and if anything we can only go up from this point.

I'd say its the most realistic place for him.

Pep at United, and Jose back at Chelsea.

Should be entertaining.

If Gervinho starts tomorrow, he better score ten goals. At that point, I'd start to believe he's showing worth.

This just sums him up perfectly at this point. So close, yet so incredibly far away. Not just his finishing, but also his ridiculous and infuriating slow dribbling into the box before he aimlessly smacks in a cross on the ground.

Tonight's team: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Podolski

Subs: Mannone, Koscielny, Coquelin, Ramsey, Rosicky, Gervinho, Giroud.

It appears Theo is going to be playing central striker.

Reading are inexplicably going with a FIFA 13 "contain" style of defending. Not going so well.
