I was really wanting another goal to be scored at the end, but that's being greedy.

Spain/Chile is going to decide who moves on with Netherlands, and boy that's going to be a fun one to see if Spain implodes or gets their act together.

Spain is in trouble after that, Chile will see the blood in the water and if Spain doesn't get it together they may not even get out of the group. That -4 GD might end up being huge.
Also, Chile will play "at home" here, just like Mexico. Lots of chileans here, expect games as if they were being played in Santiago.

Even a draw would give Chile a good shot on goal differential.

Oh yeah, Spain has to win that, barring the Aussies going crazy on everyone, to even have a shot at going on, but even then, facing Brazil isn't the best thing to look forward at, especially if the refs continue to be pretty bad, like they have been so far.

I think maybe he got clipped a bit but by and large it was exaggerated in typical Spanish fashion.

Yup. He got clipped. He attempted a slide tackle in his own penalty area, missed the ball entirely and took out the legs out from under him. I don't think there was much exaggeration. He was changing direction and his legs were taken out. After watching so much NBA, a lot of people have become conditioned to think everything is a flop. It's understandable. It really is.

Stop it with the "American conditioning" talk and acting like you've unlocked the secrets of the game like we've never watched before. It's annoying.
