Anyone Plan on Picking Up Gran Turismo?

I was looking at videos today and they looked pretty impressive. After being disappointed with Burnout, I'm hoping that this will be a racer that I can play for a while. Are there any OSers that will be online with this one?

Re: Anyone Plan on Picking Up Gran Turismo?

No! The gamestop by my brothers house, had a playable demo in the system and the game looks nothing like the screenshots or fake videos floating the web. Not to mention using the right analog for the gas and brake is garbage.

I won't be getting this game! I've wait almost 2 years for it to drop, and I'm disappoint, and wait til you see the crowd models.

Still trying to decide. Does anyone know an estimate when the final version will be out? And how much it will be? I am trying to guage if the 40 bucks is worth it or should I just wait.

Re: Anyone Plan on Picking Up Gran Turismo?

1. no damage

2. from the demo, the car physics seem to be just like previous GT games. That might change in the final product though

Judging from the prologue...Moreso than a simulation, this game seems like it's going to be basically just a graphics showcase for the PS3 imo (a very impressive graphics showcase at that)

...with that said, ill definitely be picking this up. It's looks like a fun game and the graphics look incredible

Re: Anyone Plan on Picking Up Gran Turismo?

I’ve got the Japanese demo that features Suzuka and a nice selections of cars…Nissan GT-R, EVO, Subie STi, BMW 135i to name a few.

The modeling is top notch, cockpit views are awesome and in my opinion the physics for the driving model are quite good. Using a Logitech G25 wheel, fully supported as many other Logi wheels are. Needless to say I’m picking it up day 1.

Labguy: It’s out 4/15 for North America, next week for Europe. If you google you can find a $5 code off for Amazon…$34.99
edit: Re-read your question…well anyways this is a response from a developer to that same question from the SCEA blog regarding GT5 final: “timasaki replied on March 18, 2008
erico316, you won’t be seeing GT5 full game for awhile, definitely not this year."
