Same here. Never had so much fun failing at a game.

I'm terrible but I am having a great time with the game. I've spent lot of my time in practice trying to get better with the controls. I've been using the thrustmaster t-80 wheel & slowly getting comfortable with it. Having used a controller for years for racing games it really takes time to get used to it especially using the pedals. Overall I'm very pleased with the game. I don't think you have to be a hardcore racing fan to find enjoyment with the game but there is a steep learning curve.

Try the following settings for a practice race... The outcome is a freakin' awesome late afternoon/night progression and the cloud/sun visuals are breathtaking. The lights around the track turn on and the AI cars fire up their headlights. (Run at least 8 laps.)

Track: Willow Springs International Raceway
Conditions: 4 weather slots, Medium Cloud, Light Cloud, Heavy Cloud, Clear progression 10x
Date Type: Custom, (date - your choice), Starting time 18:00, Time progression 10x

Worth noting: The starting time is not the race start time, it's actually the race day start time. So depending on how long you practice is when the race will start.

Still trying to fine tune the right controller sightings. Almost there

"Good... now get back out there and hit the pace car!"

Try these settings for the controller, Mo. Cheers!

I've had a lot of success with Input Mode 2, as the steering speed of Mode 3 is too slow when changing directions quickly (S-bends, chicanes, etc.).

Steering Deadzone - 0
Steering Sensitivity - 0
Throttle Deadzone - 0
Throttle Sensitivity - 25
Brake Deadzone - 0
Brake Sensitivity - 25
Clutch Deadzone - 0
Clutch Sensitivity - 25
Speed Sensitivity - 75 (I adjust only this value as needed depending on car type)
Controller Filtering Sensitivity - 50
Force Feedback - 100
RPM/Gear Display Yes

Controller Input Mode - 2
Advanced - On
Apply Soft Steering - On
Apply Visual Filtering - Off
Apply Opposite Lock Help - Off
