Can we make a rule for people to stop talking about this being NCAA 11.5? I'm like about ready to yell at them a ton... Maybe I should just stay away from this thread. The idiots are too much.

Sure, the effort is appreciated, but does anyone really think they would have scrambled this much last minute if the anticipation for this game was wholly positive?
No, this year has been a total step up in the correct direction. They have removed suctioning, and increased the effectivness of zone coverages and already fixed some bugs they had in the zone coverages.

This patch came out because of high consumer demand. Now I am sure there are still problems in this game and I along with many OSers will make sure to point them out on this very forum. Right now though, I don't know what these mistakes are because I have not touchd the game, and most likely neither have you.

acard, put ncaa 11 beside ncaa 12 (in game) and it's pretty much the exact same game, just a bit more detail. no new in game presentation at all. as new options go, coaches carousel and custom divisions are nice additions but not enough to sway me to shell out 60 dollars.
Umm, no. I played the NCAA 12 demo and then played NCAA 11 and I can say, it is near impossible to play NCAA 11 with all the suctioning that has been removed.

All of these features are very welcome, and I'm very excited about this game.

So don't everyone freak out on me for what I'm about to say for being negative, because this is honestly just a genuine question.

The main thing I've heard about the editor its main purpose is to correct height and weight both of incoming recruits and players as they progress. I can see the height editing and it's purpose, but why do people care incoming recruits weight and their weight progression through the years? Weight hardly matters in my experience. I feel like my 240 pound DT won't be any better when he's 280. Whats the point of editing the weight? Could someone please answer this for me?

Amen Skyboxer. This "NCAA 11.5" is getting beyond old and tired.

I am pumped with this list!

I can't wait for tomorrow to start playing (it better be here...lol). Even more excited for the Day One goodies.

Great year for football video game fanatics.

I kept waiting for this item:

Fixed an issue where the CPU gets blown up in the backfield 90% of the time when running from the shotgun.

Oh well. The rest of the fixes are certainly welcome.

I would love for them to update Teambuilder in a big way also - but the dynasty editing takes some of the sting off in a big way b/c this will affect my Teambuilder dynasty also.

As I understand it, it isn't just the weight. It is the ratings, too. Now if we start our dynasty and some kid comes out of nowhere and is a superstar - you can go in and change that player. Or if someone is in the game and shouldn't be - we can edit him out. Or if we have issues with how progression works - well now we can tweak it to our own personal "just right."

And that last point, our own "just right" is a big reason why I've been asking for this for years. So much of the complaining that goes on is that the game doesn't perform to our own very subjective expectations and understandings. That's why I think game designers should open editing and include as many sliders as they can. So then gamers can fiddle and diddle away their own strengths and weaknesses to create a balanced environment that is totally customized and personal. I've never understood why game designers have tried so hard to program one game for millions of gamers. Open it up and let gamers differentiate for themselves. Create a game with a million possibilities. We'll find our sweet spot. Don't tell us how to play with and enjoy our toy. We know what we want, let us create it.
