Have you guys tried disconnecting from the internet and/or disabling your wireless?

I hope that stuttering isn't actually the game.

I'm thinking it might be caused be the game looking for info from PSN or MLB.com.

That would happen to me in '12...especially in menus.

But I guess that's my point. Trout gets the benefit of the doubt with a 95/5 pitch, but Triple-crown winner Miggy doesn't on a 50/50 strike?
If you're going to have variable pitching, then go all out and program 'make-up' calls in there too.
Trout got one, Miggy should as well.
It's just one pitch from one game. I see tons of variation and it all seems to even out. Sometimes I get jobbed, other times I get the benefit. I love it.

So are the barehand double plays that always look weird to me. Its not that common for infielders to do this and so casually too. If its a close play and the infielder throwing the ball is close sure, but it happens so often in the game. Maybe if the future they'll re-do the infielder animations.

I don't mind if there's some consistency to it.
If I know that down and in is going to be called a ball a lot of the time and both sides are affected by it, so beit.
But it's way too random. The 'random location' appears all over the map. It just feels forced and arbitrary to me.

That's why I never play with variable umpires. But even with it off, I still see way too many random balls when the pitch was almost entirely in the strike-zone.

I have not tried this Knight. Makes a bit of sense though.

I've noticed some messages about cell phones, skates, and sheep that come up during the menus that must be coming from the show servers. Perhaps if I disconnect from the Internet these hiccups wouldn't happen.

The thing is The Show calls pitches, even on variable, very close to the plate. Maybe they are limited due to the MLB. But if you look at some data you'll see what pitches are actually called strikes. It varies a ton and pitches are called strikes well off the plate very often and balls in the zone are called balls quite often.

Go check out some games on brooksbaseball.

I'd love to see a slider option in the future to increase the variability, mostly for pitches off the left/right edges of the zone. Umpires can have very wide zones and make a lot of mistakes. Catchers frame balls too so this could be part of it, better frame rating=higher chance of getting call on pitch off plate. I'd like to see more human elements make its way into the game.

what the f......

Now seeing a few videos, haven't seen much in terms of TruBroadcast 2.0 changes.

Seems identical in cut-aways and cameras during gameplay, and I played a ton of 12.
