I think the only thing that says 'no' is that he (and others) threw for over 4000 yards as well.

It is a new feature, and we know how first-year features can be rough around the edges for EA....it's certainly a possibility. Even Sky's TD's were low, but nothing compared to the sim in the OP.

If you're around Sky, did you sim week to week for your 2 sims?

The game doesn't have to crash for a feature to be broken. Heck, if a RB runs in the wrong direction after a hand off, the game doesn't crash, but many would consider the game unplayable for them.

For those playing in a single person offline franchise, poor simmed stats make the game unplayable for them. I would consider that "Broken".

Some stats are completely off but not all of them are and that's the point I am making.
So what's your purpose in this thread? To say that highly unlikely statistical anomalies happen in the NFL if you look long and hard enough to find them? OK. But we are talking statistical frequency here. Your trying to compare NFL statistical infrequency to somebody's one time simmed stats. The highly probable/potential frequency happening in Madden of the NFL anomalies look very concerning.

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

A decade ago, we had a group of dedicated folks for PC coach mode that would test sliders till Thanksgiving sometimes in CPU vs CPU games until we were as close to the NFL stats with the sliders as possible.

Why? Because the sim stat engine wasn't anything near as close to NFL stats at the time. Nothing has changed in a decade.

We would take season games and sim them week to week tweaking the sliders as we would go along, even punt and KO avgs. At that time, it was a chore to bring passing %'s close to the NFL stats.

Until they revamp or overhaul the stat engine, what you see now is what we will get.

Have there been any other videos of simulated season stats yet?

Glad to see they FINALLY got the standings fixed - ties are calculated properly into winning percentage! Thank you EA for listening!

Re: Madden NFL 15 Video - Simulated Season Stats

The Seahawks going 8-8 is totally realistic. Lots of championship teams have a 'hangover' season the next year where they don't make the playoffs. Just look at the Ravens last year or the Redsox in baseball this year. I have a lot more difficulty with the Vikings winning the superbowl though or with Peyton throwing 13 tds. Those two things concern me.

On another note, they still didnt change the standings column where it shows your winning/losing streak. Its still a + or - where older maddens had a W or L. Its a minor thing but its still makes the whole screen look unpolished.
