Cheers, chants, yells

I know it's been a year for this post, but I can't find any info elsewhere. I need help understanding how chants and yells are used between team and player. Are both used for my player, or does play chants override team?

Many in the packs are the same so I just find the ones I like and use them in multiple stadiums. The packs have plenty of options.
