No not yearly. Its updated a lot and mods/roster updates are updated by community members to replicate the current season. I think someone is working on an historical mod as well.

The last game was in 2011.

Yea Career mode is pretty much the best career mode available for a Tennis game. Be sure to go over to Mana games forums and download Sam's mod for the real world players, courts & tourneys.
