Monday Morning Other Stuff (3-10-08)

Nat enjoyed her spring break and Easter egg hunt yesterday. As I watched her run around looking for eggs, I can't believe how much she has grown. It seems like just yesterday I was holding her in my arms, giving her warm milk. I suddenly feel so old...

My brackets are pretty whacked right now. I have 4 teams still alive for the Elite 8. Damn G'town, Butler, Vandy and Duke.

The Pistons lose to the Wiz last night. They are looking pretty horrible lately. Not a good time to go into a nosedive.

We'll be posting a game giveaway today through Thursday, keep an eye out for it every morning.

QOTD - Great weekend, my Tarheels blew out another team. Longhorns won! So I was happy! Didn't play that many games this weekend, was mostly doing edits on MM08 and College Hoops 2k8. Trying to prepare for some nice final four videos.

I had Butler going to the Elite 8 also. Sad thing is, they had that game won. Terrible last possession and OT was just a joke.

I'm in pretty good shape on my brackets. 7 of my 8 Elite Eight are still alive.

QOTD: Pretty lousy. As I mentioned Friday, we ended up having to go to Dayton this weekend and skipping my family's Easter because my sister-in-law flight on Friday was cancelled. We ended up picking her up in Columbus on Saturday. The weekend got much worse on Sunday when we found out my wife's grandma was in critical condition down in South Carolina. She had been in and out of the hospital for months, but this was the worst it had been. My mother-in-law and her siblings headed down there and my wife was planning to head down with her dad today.
We got a call at 2:30 this morning that her grandma passed away. My wife is going to Dayton this morning and will probably miss the entire week of school (which it sounds like will be ok with her bosses). I'll be heading down there when the funeral arrangements are made. It's going to be a very sad week as her family was really close with her grandma.

Weekend was good, I have 13/16 Sweet 16 teams left including Davidson and WVU, and I have 7/8 Elite Eight teams left. Damn Pittsburgh

Saturday: Easter Egg Hunt with local community, yard work, march madness.

Sunday: In-laws came over for bbq and some more basketball.

QOTD: It rocked the house. Played PC games, drank Corona, and watched March Madness. Best weekend in ages.
